I graduate in about 88 hours. I'm so excited for my parents and some of my siblings coming in town! They'll get to meet Taylor.
I accepted a job teaching 3rd or 4th Grade at Noah Webster Academy in the Fall. It's a charter school in Orem. I'm excited, those are the grades I want and if they asked me to pick which one I want I don't know which one I would take. I have good connections to each grade level with my former Mentor teachers who could help me. I'm still looking for jobs for the summer.
I hate goodbyes. I said "See you later" to my adorable 2nd graders on April 10th, but now I'm subbing for them this week! They were so confused when I came back, but we'll have a lot of fun this week.
What else I've been up to:
-Game night at Uncle Norm and Aunt Sharee's. You'll never have more fun playing Jenga or Crazy Trains in your whole life. Even if you're Chelsea and just found out you have Shingles.
-One of my Summer goals (besides get my classroom ready and spend time with the boy I'm in love with) is to reread all 7 Harry Potter. I'm almost done with the 1st. I'm constantly fighting these antisocial feelings where all I want to do is stay at home and read. Because of golden garage sales, I have all but the 5th book. I probably spent less than $10.
-I love garage sales! I've been in relationships in the past where the guy didn't understand my obsession and didn't want to participate. I told Tex up front that I love finding cool things, and a lot of them, for super cheap. So after the temple on Saturday, we hit up 6 or so. At one, I found 81 good kids book, and bought them for $15. These included Harry Potter, Nancy Drew, GooseBumps, mystery books, and dog books. They are all perfect for 3rd or 4th grade! At another I bought really nice quilting books, so when I get money for fabric maybe I'll make more quilts this summer! I also might pick up scrapbooking as my next hobby...
-There are so many trees with blossoms! I'm so grateful to live in such a gorgeous area!
-I've been praying very hard for 2 things the past month, and both things are working out! I'm so blessed!
-Slumdog Millionaire is an incredible movie. I highly recommend it. It's touching and funny and well done.

Colors everywhere!
Artsy Date
Taylor and I had an artsy date night a couple weeks ago. First we checked out the Museum of Art at BYU, with their amazing modern art exhibit and Walter Wick's I SPY exhibit. We could have spent hours there, but they caught us and kicked us out when they closed.

We then bought some finger paints. It started with doing abstract portraits of each other and ended with some impressionistic style pieces
I know, we are good. Taylor was almost an art major, and I teach art to little kids. So we're like the best ever.
Festival of Colors
Tex and I went to Festival of Colors at the Hari Krishna temple. I had been before, but we faced the huge crowds so that Taylor could go. The temple was beautiful and the food, dancers, store, and Lotus Room made me want to go to India! I can go someday, I'm still sure it was for the best that I didn't go last Fall semester. Because of Facebook it was super crowded and traffic was so bad, but we were able to see tons of friends! Most of the time we were with my wonderful roommates, Celia, Kyle, Becca, Katie, and Kendall. So it was a combination of people from Park Place and Amarillo. You can see in the first picture the massive crowd of people, and the paper mache witch they were about to set on fire at the festival! There are also a couple before and after pictures of me and my roommates!
It was awkward when the director of the temple was bashing Christianity, but the band made up for a bit saying we were celebrating and having fun together. The first 20 seconds of throwing the colors was the worst, because it was so hard to breathe! But it was a good way to welcome in Spring. I had purple in my hair for a couple days so my 2nd graders were instantly interested.
For Easter weekend, we went to a BYU graduate party last night on campus. We saw living legends and got caricatures done for us. We went watched Anchorman and went to Humor U. Humor U is BYU's stand up comedy group, and half are ok and half are incredible. This was their "Best of Ever" show, so it was great. Stephen was the MC so it was extra funny, I think people thought he was kidding when he had his Mom stand up in the audience. She's white, and people don't realize that he is a chocolate vanilla swirl. Then we decorated Easter eggs! Yes, they are covered in glitter!
