Look! I'm updating my blog...

I just found out I'll be student teaching in 2nd grade at Scera Park! It's the school by the theater and park with the waterslides off of state street in orem (i think). I am way excited about 2nd grade, I love 2nd graders, such a good age!

Wish me luck with my last day in 6th grade! And with my teacher work sample due in less than a week!

One of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life is "David After Dentist" on Youtube. if you've already seen it, you might get a kick out of "Chad After Dentist". Everything sounds funnier when Darth Vader is saying it.

So based on how freaked out I get from relationships (if you don't know, I can diagram out the past 5 years of my love life) and because Tex has been back from his mission for 2.5 months, we decided to keep dating but we'll slow down a bit and go off the radar. I think it'll be good.

Happy Valentines Day!

The past several weeks I've been up to a ton. Sorry for the friends and family I've left out of the loop. So freshman year my roommate and best friend was Lyn, she was from Hawaii and we were so tight. She dated one of our FHE brothers freshman year the whole year. So during freshman year I would hang out a ton with Lyn and her bf Taylor, or Tex (He's from amarillo, texas). It was always fun and nonakward, I've always been good at being a third wheel. They broke up and Tex went on a mission and Lyn got married. This is usually where the story ends.

But... Taylor got home from his mission in November, and since we were like best friends freshman year and I wrote him faithfully on his mission (aka one or two times), we talked a bit when he got home and we hung out the first night I got back from Christmas break and he moved up to provo. So we started hanging out as best friends and picking up where we left off, but then after a few weeks there seemed to be something there so we started going on dates and seeing each other very often. I guess we started dating end of January, but things have been going very slow and very good.

We went with his roommates (My old FHE bro's), their love interests, one of my roommate's, and Taylor's best guyfriend from home to Las Vegas for the weekend. Two in our group were from Vegas so we stayed with some really cool families. We went hiking at Redrocks on Valentines day morning, ate at El Pollo Loco, went to the Las Vegas temple, a romantic In-And-Out meal, and went sightseeing on the Strip. Our favorite was hiking for sure. The rocks/mountains were beautiful, having to climb boulders made it interesting/challenging, climbing to the top of a mountain was a fun accomplishment, and the company was wonderful. I'll put up pictures when my roommate loads them. We all just had a ton of fun over the weekend. We'd come home exhausted but not knowing how the day could have been better.

I finish 6th grade on friday, and my huge teacher work sample is due next week. I found out today that my mentor teacher is in Grandma and Grandpa's ward though, so that was exciting.

Oh so I took my Praxis last month to get my teaching license. My friend Anna is in all my classes and we have done all our schoolwork together the past couple years. She took the test before me and knew how busy I was so she told me not to worry about studying for the test and that I would be fine if I used common sense. So I took it without any studying or practicing and forgot about it. Then at the end of last week I got a letter from them and started freaking out because I didn't study and figured I would either have to pay a couple hundred buck to retake it or just fail school or something. But the letter said I passed! And it said I made the top 15% of ppl who take the test so I got some award/certificate that I don't know what to do with. What a huge blessing that I have amazing friends who help me out when I need it! And a huge blessing from Heavenly Father that I was able to think clearly and remember what I've learned in school!

Happy Birthday Noelle!
